The second-chance sale of London 2012 Olympic tickets has shown the British public's hunger for a slice of the "greatest show on earth" - as long as it doesn't involve football or volleyball.
Some 2.3 million tickets were up for sale this morning to those who missed out in the first round but many were quickly snapped up despite the sales period lasting until July 3.
The only sports that now remain on the market are boxing, canoe spint, football, judo, mountain biking, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling.
Football and volleyball make up the majority of remaining tickets as they have the most sessions at the largest venues, but even with ticket limits increased they are yet to sell out.
There are now no tickets on sale for events on the Olympic Park and the off-site locations of the remaining sports may go some way to explaining why they have not attracted as much interest.
Last week Sebastian Coe, chair of the London organising committee of the Olympic Games (Locog), said the aim of the second chance sales window was to get two-thirds of the 1.9 million original applicants to the Games.
