Defending champions Chennai Super Kings pulled off a sensational five-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday.
Super Kings reached the improbable 206-run target. It is the second highest run chase in IPL history.
F du Plessis scored 71 and MS Dhoni 41. But Albie Morkel (28 off seven balls) and Dwayne Bravo (25 not out) changed the game's complexion.
Earlier, Bangalore scored an impressive 205-8 in 20 overs.
Chris Gayle (68 off 35 balls) and Virat Kohli (57 off 46 balls) set up Bangalore for an impressive score of 205-8 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
However, Bangalore eventually stuttered in the slog overs as they lost six wickets for 43 runs.
